If you’ve never had crescent roll pizzas before, you need to try them asap!  These light, fluffy, and scrumptious pizza crescent rolls combine the addictive taste of buttery crescent rolls with the ooey, gooey goodness of pizza toppings.  They are also so easy to make!

Sometimes when I have had a long day or just don’t have the energy to follow a recipe let alone try a new recipe, I rely on easy recipes like this one.  While this meal isn’t super healthy, some days, just having anything prepared for my family beats eating out!  And, once you read this tutorial, this “recipe” is easy to commit to memory.  You won’t have to refer back to it every time you want to cook crescent roll pizzas since it is such an intuitive process.

These mini pizzas also have so many ways they can be customized.  You can make simple pepperoni crescent roll pizzas, or you can add a ton of other toppings like olives, sausage, onions, and more.

Crescent Roll Pizza Ingredients:

Here’s what you’ll want to have on hand to cook this recipe.

  • Can of crescent rolls
  • 4 cheese sticks
  • Pizza sauce
  • Pepperoni or other pizza toppings, as desired.

How to Make Crescent Roll Pizzas:

First, preheat the oven to the temperature recommended on the back of the crescent rolls.  The crescent rolls I used said 375 degrees, but if your can says something different, I’d stick with that.

Unroll the crescent rolls and place in 8 triangles on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Next, spoon or squeeze desired amount of sauce on each crescent triangle.  I really like the pizza sauce squeeze bottles for convenience!  You can still use the back of a spoon to spread the sauce around if you use the squeeze bottle.

Place pepperonis on each crescent roll. We like LOTS of pepperonis!  At this point, you could add in Canadian bacon, sausage, olives, etc. depending on what’s in your pantry.  I don’t recommend pineapple though.  Tried that once, and things were just WAY too juicy.

Next, tear each cheese stick into half, and place each half on top of the pepperonis.  We like using mozzarella cheese sticks, but if you’re adventurous you could try another flavor.

Then, roll the crescent rolls up around the cheese sticks.  At this stage, they’re not looking super beautiful, but they will be super tasty once cooked!  If you have some Italian seasoning or Parmesan cheese, you can add it at this step to the outside of the crescent roll pizzas.

Bake for the time recommended on the back of the crescent roll can until lightly browned and crescent rolls are cooked through.  Mine usually cook through around 10-12 minutes, but keep checking on yours so they don’t burn.

Once these tasty little gems come out of the oven, serve with more marinara dipping sauce if desired.

We like to add a tasty salad as a side dish to this meal also!  That way we feel a little bit healthier as we gobble up a ton of these crescent roll pizzas.

Cooking Ahead Directions and Other Considerations

Depending on how hungry we are, sometimes we double or triple our recipes and then freeze/refrigerate extras.  They’ve held in the fridge for up to three days and the freezer for up to three months.  They might go a little longer, but who are we kidding, these things get eaten fast!

When it comes time to reheat them, you can use the microwave as long as you’re okay with the crescent rolls being a little tougher than before.  If you place them in aluminum foil in the oven, I’ve had better success with reheating.
